The 2023 cycling season has just kicked off across the country. A new year brings new rides, new friends and new experiences, and if you haven’t stepped up your UTV, you probably aren’t.
Because everything is bigger, better and faster. It’s not uncommon to see hordes of people rolling on 50-inch tractor tires and through potholes that would overwhelm your UTV.
Machines are getting faster, too, and more tracks are being accommodated by extreme riders who love to get around corners at 50 mph with long-travel kits and performance-enhancing upgrades.
This year we went beyond the standard stuff like windshields, doors, mirrors and lights. If you want to go big this year, here are the 7 best UTV upgrades for 2023.
1. Big-Lift-Kit
The big-lift kit is the most popular suspension upgrade for anyone who wants big tires and ground clearance. They range in size from 5" to 10" and can completely change the look and feel of your machine.
By "changing the appearance", we mean making them look bad. On some vehicles, they can accommodate tires up to 46 inches. With a setup like this, it's easy to join the barrel club and fight the crazy mud pits with the best.

2. Long-distance travel equipment
If you don't need to go higher, you can go wider. The Long Travel Package increases the width of the tracks, giving you more stability for better cornering and an overall smoother ride.
Yes, the Endurance package also gives you enough room to fit bigger tires.
If you want to go anywhere fast, this is the suspension upgrade you need. Whether you're cruising through the dunes, desert, or forest, long-travel gear will help you keep all four wheels on the ground and keep you in control when you're pedalling.

3. GDP-Portal-Ganglift
The GDP Gantry Lift is the holy grail of landing gear upgrades. Not only is it one of the best UTV upgrades for 2023, it’s one of the best of the period. That's because of the unique way they combine high stroke with the power of a reduction gear.
Buoyancy occurs in the hub, not the suspension assembly. This keeps your suspension at a standard angle while maintaining a normal ride. Since it doesn't affect your suspension, you can do some pretty crazy builds with a traditional lift on top of the gantry.
Reduction gears are also located in the hub, providing the torque needed to spin the large tires as if they were light duty tires. With BDP, you have many options to make it right.
You can choose the lifting height:
- 4"
- 6"
- 8"
Then you choose your reducer:
- 15%
- 30%
- 45%
- 60%
- 70%
(Not sure what the purpose of the slowdown is? Tryhow they make the portal work.)
In addition to all these options, you can also upgrade to a dual idler configuration and an aluminum chassis. Both of these upgrades have improved performance, making the GDP Portal very powerful in addition to improved performance.
It's there no matter where you go or how you driveGDP-Portal-GangliftThis can help you do better.

4. Rev1 clutch kit
For another great performance upgrade, you need to get the Rev1 clutch kit. All of these clutch upgrades are designed to match your performance to the type of riding you actually do.
Example: Your spare clutch is designed to be an all-rounder and nothing more. It has some low-end torque for mud and a decent top speed for desert or trail riding. But in all of these respects it would probably be better off with different clutch springs, clutch levers and an upgraded secondary spool.
That's exactly what you get with the Rev1 clutch kit. We've carefully tested and tuned our clutch kits so you can focus on the mountains, mud, racing and more. One of the best UTV upgrades for 2023, the clutch upgrade is just what you need to make your UTV shine.

5. Rhino drive shaft
You don't want to let your drive run dry this year. When you've upgraded the rest of the machine, the propshaft will also work harder. If you really want to push your UTV harder than ever, you need to upgrade your propshaft.
Rhino drive shafts provide greater power and durability. They are made of chrome molybdenum steel with larger shafts than shafts and thicker side walls.
That alone makes them worth the upgrade, but even the knuckles are sturdier. The greaseable U-joints on our U-Series drive shafts are made from chrome molybdenum steel so they are much stronger than the original parts.
Or you can purchase one of our C-Series propshafts and enjoy the virtually unlimited durability of sealed CV joints. It keeps mud and grime out while still giving you the toughest rubber compound in the industry.
We haveRhino drive shaftFor different back-to-back loads.

6. Heavy transmission parts
Your standard gearbox can only take so much load. Big jumps, high turns and rough terrain increase the risk of damaging grass.
If you want to have fun, you can upgrade some gear.
Luckily, we have a pair of North Stars side by side:
- Our heavy-duty backchain addresses one of its biggest weaknesses
- Our propshaft and snorkel gear sets strengthen the most important gear sets in your transmission
- Our layered shell elevates everything
If that's not enough upgrades for you, you can upgrade everything with the option of our full heavy duty transmission.
People often get our full shifters after throwing away their original shifters, but for safety reasons we won't judge you for an upgrade. After all, this is one of the best UTV upgrades for 2023.

7. Heavy Duty Front Differential Components
Last but not least, you need to beef up the front differential. The front differential is responsible for keeping the four-wheel drive running. If it sucks, going back to the announcement will be very difficult.
That's why we offer a variety of front differential upgrades for Polaris and Can-Am owners.
First up is the SwifTrac—our Can-Am UTV locking front differential locks almost instantly. It uses spikes and rollers to ensure that power is delivered immediately to the front wheels where it is needed. No more waiting for the lengthy liquidation of Visco-Lok.
And our complete Polaris front axle differential. It has better gears and stronger suspension to make sure it won't give up even if you push it through dozens of jumps, careless rock crawls or backcountry climbs.
Or, if you're looking for an easier way to upgrade, get one of our outlet mounting brackets. Not only do they replace the weakest OEM parts with stronger, reinforced aluminum parts, but they also come with a lifetime warranty. It's hard to beat.

Stock up on the best UTV upgrades for 2023. When your demands for performance, ground clearance and durability are met, you can experience new trails and new adventures that were not possible before. After all, you don't want to be left behind by a poorly performing machine in your quest for bigger climbs and new memories that will last a lifetime.
If you improve your machines, you'll have more chances to say "wow" in 2023.

High Demand for ATVs and UTVs
Side-by-sides and off-roaders have been popular during the pandemic, with both experienced riders and newcomers looking to purchase vehicles to get outside and ride.
The truth is that several factors are involved in pricing a side-by-side vehicle that can drive up its cost. First, the construction of a UTV typically requires more precision engineering than other similar vehicles. UTVs are rough, durable, and take more designing to get this way.
